We built Succesvyx because spreadsheets kept lying about skill gaps.
A small team in Seattle. An honest belief that L&D leaders deserve something better than a quarterly report that's already stale by the time managers read it. Angel-backed. Founded 2023.
The skill gap report that should never have been manual
Mei-Ling Chou spent four years as Head of Workforce Capability at a large Seattle-based company, managing reskilling for 1,200 employees. Every quarter, her team would export role requirements from Workday, manually compare against employee profiles in a separate system, and produce a gap report in Excel. The report took three weeks to build. It was always out of date by the time it reached managers.
The problem wasn't the data — all the information existed. The problem was that it lived in three separate systems with no layer connecting them to answer the question that actually mattered: which specific 40 people need which specific 12 skills before the project starts in Q3?
After two years of building and rebuilding that report manually, Mei-Ling and her co-founder Derek Osei — who had spent years building data infrastructure for workforce analytics — decided to automate the part that mattered. They founded Succesvyx in 2023 to build the analytics layer that L&D teams need and can't find in their HRIS.
Succesvyx is angel-backed, based in Seattle, and we answer to L&D directors and CHROs — not enterprise sales consultants.
Succesvyx doesn't replace your LMS. It tells your LMS which courses to recommend to which people — and measures whether the recommendation actually closed the gap. If you're already on Cornerstone, Degreed, or LinkedIn Learning, Succesvyx routes learners into content you already own. Your existing subscriptions do more; you don't need new licenses to start.

What we believe
Three operating principles that show up in the product.
Specificity over generality
Close the exact gap, not the catalog. The tool that tells you "cloud skills are important for your engineers" is useless. The tool that tells you "47 engineers need AWS Solutions Architect cert before September 1" is actionable. We build the second kind.
Honesty in measurement
If a learning path didn't close a gap, the dashboard says it didn't. If an employee completed a course but hasn't demonstrated the skill, that's not a closed gap. We don't inflate completion rates to make the ROI story look better. Our customers need accurate data, not comfortable data.
Built for practitioners
We answer to L&D directors and CHROs, not enterprise sales consultants. The people who use Succesvyx daily are the same people who influenced every design decision. When a feature doesn't make the workflow faster, we remove it.
